Introducing the Family Module from Log my Care

We have just launched the Family Module, a simple-to-use app that connects families with their loved ones in care. The app will reduce admin for Carers and create greater transparency for families, especially while visiting is limited due to COVID-19.

With visiting restrictions in place due to COVID-19 and the holidays just around the corner, we know this can be a very tough time for families and service users alike.

That’s why our team hunkered down and built the Family Module. The Module connects families with their loved ones in care via an easy-to-use app that is updated in real-time with care notes and logs.

How does the Family Module work? 👨‍👩‍👧

Care Services invite families to download the app to their smartphones. Once the families are signed in, Carers simply go about their business delivering care and logging notes, which families can then access in a simplified timeline from their smartphones. Pretty easy right? We think so too!

The Family Module creates greater transparency around care delivery and gives reassurance to families that their loved ones are being looked after. It also reduces the admin Carers normally have to go through. No more fielding calls and emails from family members, leaving you with more time to do what you do best: deliver care.

We know that there are certain care notes that aren’t necessary for families to view – like how many time their Granny has used the loo today! That’s why Care Managers can select which Care logs and notes are visible to family members.

All of our software is GDPR compliant and in-line with NHS standards, so your service users’ data is protected and will stay that way.
