Switching from Person Centred Software (PCS) to Log my Care

We caught up with Michael Forster, the Registered Manager of Park House Rest Home, a specialist dementia service offering residential and nursing in Stockton-on-Tess, to find out why they switched electronic care providers.

Why did you switch your provider of digital social care records?

"I’d previously used Person Centred Software (PCS) in a previous role and found it expensive, with limited options to tailor the software to fit the needs of my service. When I started at Park House, I knew it was time give another platform a go."

"Log my Care is definitely more affordable."

How do the platforms compare?

"I was keen to introduce a more flexible platform and Log my Care stood out as an obvious choice as it’s really easy to use.

"It’s definitely more affordable and we can cater our package to meet our needs, which is another really good benefit."

"There are far more risk assessments and everything is covered."

What do your team think?

"The team love how robust the care plans are compared to PCS. There are far more risk assessments and everything is covered, which is something that saves us so much time.

"The Carer App is super simple to use and everything is really easy to find. My support workers love it!"

Any final comments?

"I’m looking forward to introducing the Family Portal over the next few months, especially with the pandemic."
